I first read "more SPAD programmers than Aldor programmers", and wanted to
respond:

  In fact, I doubt that. At least, I consider rather like an Aldor programmer
  condemned to restrict himself to SPAD code...
  
  I don't think that there are many SPAD programmers left. Antoine codes in
  Aldor, so does Ralf, I nearly do. Who else has written something recently?
  
  If I had (at least) a _promise_ that Aldor will become free software (at
  least in some sense) then I'd switch immediately myself, and work hard to
  make Axiom go Aldor altogether.
