| I am puzzled ... is there already some glibc-2.5 or glibc-3.0? According to
| http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/
| glibc-2.4 is the current version of glibc.
Yes, glibc-2.4 is the currently released version. However, I don't
know how long it will take to produce a new Aldor compiler. My hope
is that when it is released it will work with the most recently
released glibc (maybe 2.4, if it is soon, or higher it takes at least
six months).
| I have glibc-2.4 installed on my gentoo box (and no glibc-2.3 or other
| version of glibc) and it just works very well with aldor.
| I know that on the webpage, you can only download the aldor compiler
| for glibc-2.3 (and glibc-2.2) for GNU/Linux OSes.
| Is it a coincidence that everything works with glibc-2.4, or is it
| supposed to work (and the webpage provides wrong information once
| again)?
Is there any reason to believe that there need to be two different
versions: one for glibc-2.2, and another for glibc-2.3, but everything
should be OK with higher versions of glibc?
