Yes, it should install and will probably not work.

The current distribution of Aldor at aldor.org requires glib2.3. Maybe 
if Laurentiu finds time and an appropriate system, he could compile a 
glib2.2 version for you. Otherwise you must wait until the compiler 
sources are open.
