That's probably true.  It used to be a place to set environment varialbes
and capture a log.   

I am connecting from a hotel lobby, so answer about .../share and .../mabin
from memory so I may be off.  The directory .../mabin I was used for some 
home-made source code control tools back at Yorktown in the early 90s. 
The directory .../share was for sample Aldor code that was not part of
the main library.

Please feel free to clean these to a more sensible state.
